Official Awards Ceremony of the KÖMMERLING Challenge
The Awards Ceremony took place on July 6 in the Triangular Special Data Room of the College of Architects of Madrid and began with a review of the functioning of the competition, one of the keys that have made it an unconventional initiative.
An emotional ceremony, where the complicity generated between the participants and the organizers could be seen and that managed to bring together a large number of people involved in the KÖMMERLING Zero Building: participants, institutions, architects, etc.
Javier Bermejo, Manager of profine Iberia, stressed how the Challenge "has been a success in participation and quality of the projects. The success of the call for this competition has made clear the change of theme in architecture and efficiency."
Among other things, it was highlighted how “the change in philosophy and conception is the key in this new scenario in which there is a methodology and there are tools that allow everything to be integrated. Training is one of the fundamental aspects for this and in this contest it has been integrated in a dynamic way that has allowed us to enjoy learning.”
Roberto Taibo, also Manager of profine Iberia, stressed that it has been "a very enriching process, which has already contributed a lot to the building, which already has history."
